In February-March of 2018, Belarus reduced the exports of rapeseed oil

In February and March of 2018, Belarus reduced the exports of rapeseed oil to 5.2 thsd tonnes and 3.9 thsd tonnes respectively, compared with January 2018 (8 thsd tonnes), reported the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

According to APK-Inform experts, the export volumes decreased, due to the seasonal reduction of rapeseed stocks and its processing volumes. In the short term, Belarus will increase the export volumes of rapeseed oil, in terms of the growth of rapeseed imports in January-March of 2018, and rather low domestic consumption of the vegetable oil.

For the first 3 months of 2018, Norway (10.7 thsd tonnes) and Lithuania (4.1 thsd tonnes) were the countries-leaders in the imports of Belarusian rapeseed oil.
