The head of JSC NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" Kanat Alpysbayev in Tashkent held talks with Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan - Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbekiston Temir Yullari" Achilbay Ramatov on further development of cooperation in the field of railway transport.
The parties discussed issues of flexible tariff policy, increase in the volume of cargo transportation along the TITR, container trains organization, and the supply of Kazakh railroad engineering products in Uzbekistan.
For six months of the volume of cargo transportation by rail between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan amounted to 7554.4 thousand tons, which is 4% more than in the same period last year.
In the first half of this year 156 container trains from China to Uzbekistan through the territory of Kazakhstan have been organized, while for the whole last year were proceeded 110 container trains.
An agreement was reached on the timely provision of transportation of Uzbek fruit and vegetable products to Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as at the request of the Central Asian Trade House.
In Baku, the head of JSC NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" Kanat Alpysbaev and chairman of CJSC "Azerbaijan Railways" Javid Gurbanov discussed issues of further development of cooperation in the railway sector.
In January-June 2017, the volume of cargo transportation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan reached 1046.3 thousand tons, which is 164% more than in last year. The growth was achieved due to an increase in the export of petroleum products of Kazakhstani producers through the territory of Azerbaijan.
The import of 100.5 thousand tons also increased, mainly due to such cargo as meat, sub-products, chemicals, soda, and confectionery.
Twice - by 9.8 thousand tons - transit traffic increased. This is due to the growth of sugar transportation from Brazil to Uzbekistan and food products from Ukraine to Uzbekistan.
At the meeting, the parties also discussed the implementation of joint projects in the field of transport engineering.
